Should the delivery be attempted but nobody is present that can accept the delivery, actual delivery costs will be charged to you, the customer. Please note that the actual delivery costs may be considerably more than you paid during the checkout process. A re-stocking fee of up to 30% may also be charged in some cases.
4.2 If an item on delivery is damaged, please ensure you make a note of this on the delivery paperwork and email [email protected] with the details. Do not refuse delivery unless every item is damaged. If you refuse a delivery with an undamaged item(s) included, you will be charged for the return and the re-delivery of that item(s). For large pallet deliveries please be aware that the costs will be considerably more than the delivery charge you would have paid at the checkout.
4.3.1 The delivery drivers are not insured to take their vehicles on roads other than the public highways. If you live in a remote or difficult to access location and your home is not on a public road, then the driver will deliver the goods to the end of the public road only. When placing your order you accept this and if you refuse delivery because the driver is unable to deliver the goods to your property then you will be charged the actual delivery costs and collection fees.
4.3.2 Upon delivery it is your responsibility to ensure that an able-bodied person is present during delivery to assist the driver with off-loading and carrying the goods. If your order falls into this category, then you will be notified of the extra cost and given the option of accepting the extra charge or cancelling your order.
4.7 Goods may be delivered to an alternative address (such as a neighbours address) and must be checked and signed for. If the delivery is to a communal building like a block of flats, please note that the driver may require help unloading but is only bound to deliver to the reception area, this assistance is required from all customers on delivery and is agreed before delivery. Should you wish for the goods to be delivered to you only you must request this when placing your order online in the notes section or in writing.
