Help and Ideas Granite Sinks Written by Worktop Hub October 16, 2012 1 min read Granite itself is a form of natural stone that can deliver the right kind of elegance to any home setting. It is the second hardest material ever found in the Earth’s surface, so therefore diamonds are used to cut the granite into pieces. The natural stones are normally found in a spectacular display of colours and patterns due to the unique formation process that happens naturally below the Earth’s surface. Granite composite sinks are not easily damaged. They can withstand dents and scratches that typically arise from daily use. Granite composite sinks also resist damage from strong cleaners and detergents that usually stain sinks of other materials. Granite composite sinks are only available in matte finishes due to their manufacturing process. Home owners who prefer a shinier look may prefer to invest in a solid granite sink.
