Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before ordering any products from www.worktophub.co.uk (“the Website”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this Website.
Worktop Hub is operated by Wow Interiors Yorkshire Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will apply to future orders and use of the Website.
1. Definitions
1.1 In these Terms & Conditions:
- “Goods” means the products we supply in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
- “Website” means www.worktophub.co.uk.
2. Ordering Goods
2.1 After placing an order online, you will receive an email acknowledgement. This does not constitute acceptance of your order. A contract is formed only when the Goods are dispatched.
2.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order (in whole or in part) at any time before dispatch.
2.3 Orders placed after 2:00pm on a working day, or on weekends or bank holidays, will be deemed received on the next working day.
2.4 All prices shown are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
2.5 In the event of a pricing error, we are not obliged to honour orders placed at the incorrect price.
2.6 Orders placed by telephone will result in you being added to our marketing list. You may opt out at any time by contacting us via the address shown on the “Contact Us” page.
3. Cancellation of Orders (Before Dispatch)
3.1 To cancel an order, please email [email protected].
3.2 Orders cannot be cancelled once Goods have been dispatched. You must instead follow our Returns Policy (Sections 6 and 7).
3.3 Refunds will be processed as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of cancellation. Specially ordered and bespoke items cannot be cancelled or returned unless faulty or damaged, including:
- Made-to-order furniture or accessories
- Bespoke items made to customer specifications (e.g. radiators)
3.4 All deposits are non-refundable.
3.5 Orders marked for customer collection cannot be cancelled, as these items are specially ordered.
3.6 Glass splashbacks are custom-made and cannot be cancelled once ordered.
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery is a separate service contract. Goods may be delivered in instalments. Changes to the delivery address after dispatch may incur a £20 administration charge. Failed deliveries or refused deliveries may result in you being charged the full delivery and return costs, which may exceed the checkout delivery fee. A restocking fee of up to 30% may also apply.
4.2 If Goods arrive damaged, you must note this on the delivery paperwork and notify us within 24 hours. Do not refuse delivery unless all items are damaged.
4.3 Access & Kerbside Delivery
- Drivers may only deliver to public roads.
- If your property is not directly accessible, delivery will be made to the nearest public road.
- All deliveries are kerbside only.
4.4 You must ensure an able-bodied person is present to assist with unloading. Failed deliveries may incur redelivery charges.
4.5 Delivery dates are estimates only. We accept no liability for delays. Do not book installers until Goods have been delivered and inspected.
4.6 If delivery is expected to exceed 14 working days, you will be notified and offered the option to cancel.
4.7 Remote or hard-to-reach locations (e.g. Scottish Highlands, Cornwall) may incur additional delivery charges. You will be notified before dispatch.
4.8 Delivery to neighbours or communal buildings is permitted but must be checked and signed for. Responsibility passes once signed.
4.9 We are not liable for non-delivery caused by events beyond our control (including extreme weather, acts of God, or fraud prevention measures).
4.10 Where delivery cannot be completed, any payments made will be refunded within 30 days.
5. Damages and Shortages
5.1 All Goods must be unpacked and inspected within 24 hours of delivery. Any damage or shortages must be reported by email within this time.
5.2 Pallet deliveries must be checked at the point of delivery. Claims will not be accepted if Goods are signed for as undamaged.
5.3 Worktops, breakfast bars, splashbacks and upstands must be checked and refused if damaged.
5.4 If only part of an order is damaged, accept the delivery but clearly note the damage on the delivery paperwork.
5.5 If a third party signs for delivery on your behalf, responsibility passes to you.
5.6 Claims made after 24 hours of delivery acceptance will not be considered.
5.7 Any Goods that are cut, fitted or altered are deemed accepted and are no longer eligible for claims.
6. Returns – Faulty Goods
6.1 Most products carry a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty unless stated otherwise.
6.2 Reasonable return postage costs for faulty Goods will be reimbursed upon receipt of proof.
6.3 Returned items will be tested. If no fault is found, testing costs will be deducted from any refund.
6.4 Solid surface items must be checked for colour matching within 24 hours of delivery.
7. Returns – Non-Faulty Goods
7.1 You may cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving the Goods (cooling-off period).
7.2 You are responsible for return shipping costs and ensuring Goods are returned unused, unopened and in resaleable condition.
7.3 A 30% restocking fee applies to all non-faulty returns.
8. Liability
8.1 Product descriptions are for guidance only and do not form part of the contract.
8.2 Our liability for negligence is limited to the invoice value of the Goods. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8.3 We are not responsible for damage caused by use of the Website, including viruses or data loss.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. External Websites
We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites linked from this Website.
11. Security & Fraud Prevention
11.1 Personal information may be used for fraud prevention checks and shared with relevant agencies.
12. Online Reviews and Comments
12.1 We may publish customer feedback, excluding personal contact details.
12.2 You agree to contact us first to resolve complaints before posting public negative reviews.
12.3 False or defamatory statements may result in legal action.
13. Copyright
All Website content is owned by Wow Interiors Yorkshire Limited and may not be reproduced without permission, except for personal ordering purposes.
14. Worktop Product Information
14.1 Sizes may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances.
14.2 Laminate worktops have a thickness tolerance of ±2mm.
14.3 Half boards require professional finishing.
14.4 Samples are recommended as screen colours may vary.
15. Glass Splashbacks
15.1 Glass splashbacks must be inspected on delivery. Damage must be noted immediately.
15.2 All glass splashbacks are custom-made and non-returnable.
